Sexual Exploration
Sexual exploitation is defined as the abuse of power, trust, or someone's vulnerability to compel or manipulate them into sexual activity for another person's benefit. It encompasses a range of non-consensual and manipulative behaviors, including coercing individuals to engage in sexual activities for financial gain, social status, or political power. The exploitation can occur in various settings, such as workplaces, educational institutions, and online environments.
The Issue
Sexual abuse, exploitation, and trafficking are devastating and deeply interconnected issues that affect individuals, families, and communities across every background and socioeconomic level. These forms of trauma disproportionately impact vulnerable and marginalized populations, leaving lasting emotional, physical, psychological, and spiritual wounds.
Far too often, survivors suffer in silence due to fear, shame, manipulation, or lack of access to safe support systems. Addressing these realities requires awareness, education, advocacy, prevention, and compassionate intervention.
